Shruti Rajagopalan is a senior research fellow at the Mercatus Center and a fellow at the Classical Liberal Institute at New York University School of Law. She leads the India Political Economy Program and Emergent Ventures India at the Mercatus Center. She was an associate professor of economics at Purchase College, State University of New York. She earned a PhD in economics from George Mason University in 2013, a BA (with honors) in economics and an LLB from the University of Delhi, and an LLM from the European Masters in Law and Economics Program at the University of Hamburg, Ghent University, and the University of Bologna.
Kadambari Shah Mathur
Research Associate
Kadambari Shah Mathur is a Research Associate with the India Political Economy program at the Mercatus Center. Her focus areas are gender and economic development. Previously, she worked at the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago and at IDFC Institute. Her research has been featured in various media outlets including the World Economic Forum publications, Quartz, Hindustan Times, and The Indian Express. She holds an MA (with honors) in International Development and Policy from the Harris School of Public Policy, University of Chicago and a BA (with honors) in economics and English literature from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai.
