Samrudha Surana is a PhD economics student at George Mason University and a graduate fellow with the FA Hayek Program for Advanced Study in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. He holds an MS in economics from the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Pune, and a BA in economics with a minor in statistics from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. His research interests lie in the political economy of peace and India’s liberalization in 1991.
Ankita Dinkar
Research Associate
Ankita Dinkar is a research associate with the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. Her focus areas include public policy and parliamentary affairs. She completed the Legislative Assistants to Members of Parliament (LAMP) Fellowship and her subsequent four-years’ work with a member of India’s par- liament contributed to her legislative research and policy analysis. Her writing has been published in The Hindu, Indian Express, and The Statesman. She has also conducted parliamentary training sessions for the Parliament Library, political parties, and legislative professionals. Dinkar holds a degree in law from Gujarat National Law University and is interested in fieldwork and policy implementation.
